Our take:
Saleen has had recent issues with an attempted expansion to China. The S1, the car it intends to manufacture using the proceeds from this fundraise, was initially unveiled in 2017. It feels like the automotive market has changed since then, with a 2-seater, manual transmission gasoline-powered sports car almost seeming out of place today with how rapidly EVs have overtaken the market.
