Brian’s long and distinguished career in the construction industry includes a Degree in Architecture and Engineering that led to designing over 750 homes, townhomes, condos, light commercial, etc. A Certified Energy Auditor, journeyman carpenter and journeyman drywall taper, Brian became aware of the energy efficiency compliance challenges facing the building and construction industry. Brian completed approximately 300 remodeling projects with up to 16 employees, annually, between 1981 to 1986 and developed over 3,000 home sites including 800 waterfront sites, 700 multi-family units, 150 acres in commercial land and 20 miles of new roads and infrastructure. Brian has previously invented the Tstud™ products and has 10 issued patents in the USA. Brian's current book of patents including the WarmStud, the RhinoStud, the DrainStrip, and others have been transferred over to Envirobon without a clawback provision.

Kevin Wayne Monson
Board Member

Kevin Monson founded Neumann Monson Architects with Roy Neumann in 1977. He became the President and CEO in 1992 and grew the company from a staff of 7 to a staff of almost 50 professionals. Neumann Monson has become a leader in sustainable design and quality architecture with many awards including state, regional and national awards. In 2021 he retired his role as CEO and continues to provide consulting service to the company. Mr Monson has been bestowed several honorary awards for his service to the profession. In 2018 he was awarded the prestigious AIA Iowa Medal of Honor for his distinguished service to the profession of architecture, the highest honor bestowed. In 2022 he received the Christian Petersen Design Award from Iowa State University’s College of Design. Kevin Monson continues to be the Chairman of the Board of MidWestOne Bank, the largest Iowa Based bank in Iowa with over $6.5 Billion in assets. He has held this position for over a decade.
