The launch of 2014’s dog-walking marketplace Wag! received immediate nationwide attention—and Jason Meltzer was at the forefront of its success. Meltzer first developed the lucrative SurfDogLA a dog walking a six figure dog walking business out of Santa Monica. His initial foray into the dog-walking business attracted the attention of two Silicon Valley transplants who moved to Los Angeles and wanted to launch a dog-walking startup. Thus, Wag! was born, and Meltzer took on the roles of co-founder and CEO. Wag is expected to list on the NASDAQ via SPAC later this year. Meltzer graduated from Arizona State University Psychology and Business graduate spent his early teen years walking neighborhood dogs in Topanga Canyon. His experience and passion for animal caregiving made it a no-brainer to develop a career in this lane. Following the clear success of Wag!, Meltzer was on to explore his next opportunity in 2019, when he exited the company. Jason has made it his mission to improve the lives of pets and their owners using technology. He launched Paway in 2020 to continue to pursue his mission.

He’s the owner of Dan’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting, a full- service multi-million dollar pet care company located in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island and Connecticut.The 2020 Pet Sitter of the Year also has a unique business portfolio. He launched a tech company called SmartLine, which is a waitlist management platform for restaurants and co-founded ZippyCap, a reusable straw with a built-in twist cap. He’s also the founder of Hope for Hope, a non-profit organization that provides access to food, water, education, and shelter to children around the world.

Her experience conceptualizing digital campaigns and brand strategies for corporate clients like Tiffany & Co., GUESS, Restoration Hardware, Nintendo and InStyle prepared her transition into CEO and founder. Following the launch of her full-service agency, Martinez quickly started servicing clients like Samsung, Amazon Prime. Her firms and campaigns have won prestigious awards, including Inc. Best Workplaces, Best Branding and Communications Firm, CES Innovation Award, and Best PR Firm on the West Coast. Martinez has taken her knowledge of the ever-changing media landscape and parlayed it into a side editorial career.
