Terran Orbital to go public via SPAC - what early space companies could you be an investor in?

On Friday, Terran Orbital announced plans to go public via a SPAC, Tailwind Two Acquisition Corp. (NYSE:TWNT) at an equity valuation of $1.8b. Terran is the most recent space company to raise capital through a SPAC, following in the paths of Virgin Galactic, Rocket Lab, Momentus, Astra, and more.

The investor presentation can be found here. Initial investor reaction was negative, as TWNT closed below $10 on Friday, the redemption price for investors who do not want to participate in the acquisition.

Space has been a very popular investment this year. In addition to the companies going public via a SPAC, in March, ARK Invest, run by famed investor Cathie, Wood launched the ARK Space Exploration & Innovation ETF (BATS:ARKX). ARKX holds a diverse portfolio of companies, all that support "space exploration" in some capacity, with four main groupings: orbital space companies, suborbital space companies, enabling technologies companies, and aerospace beneficiary companies.

The advisor defines “Space Exploration” as leading, enabling, or benefitting from technologically enabled products and/or services that occur beyond the surface of the Earth

Interesting in investing early in companies that are exploring the future of space? There are several space companies that you can invest in today through equity crowdfunding. Check out the sample of companies below.
